Type of Care

At Moorburn we take a person centred care approach which gives residents and their family a major voice in their care.

Our residents are treated as individuals: we take the time to get to know them from both a medical and personal point of view. If a resident wishes to be addressed a certain way, does not like certain food, likes to get up at dawn or never want to miss an episode of their favourite TV show or soap we will do our utmost to respect their choices.

Our staff endeavour to form relationships with new residents and help them adjust to their new surroundings. We aim to make them as comfortable as possible in an environment that can be considered as a home away from home.

Respite Care

Being a full-time carer can be a very demanding task. Respite breaks offer the opportunity for carers to take a break from the day to day demands and recharge their own batteries; while safe in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the very best care.

Long Term Care

Making the decision to move into a care home is a very big decision for both the person moving and their family. However the priority must be quality of life and a care home can often deliver a dramatic improvement to quality of life, especially for people living alone.
